Welcome to the Luna Rose Collective Blog
This blog has been a long time coming. Over the years, I’ve mulled over the idea of starting one, and now, I finally have the time to take the plunge. Blog posts will be where I can communicate more effectively to the masses about this business, myself, the paranormal, witchcraft and more. So, let’s dive in.
For those who don’t know me, my name is Brittany, and I am the Head Creatrix of Luna Rose Collective. I wear many hats—paranormal investigator, professionally trained dancer, modern-day witch, and corporate 9-to-5 worker. I have been and continue to be many things, but my journey as a paranormal investigator and a creative is what ultimately led me to start this business.
Luna Rose Collective came to life in October 2019. Little did I know that just a few months later, the world would be turned upside down by a pandemic. As people focused less on purchasing handcrafted and curated goods, I learned a harsh but very real lesson about small business retail: do not expect to make a ton of money when you’re just starting out. The odds are stacked against you—pandemic or not.
The Reality of Small Business
Let’s take a look at the statistics:
-
20% of new businesses close within a year.
-
68% make it past the two-year mark.
-
45% shut down within five years.
-
Only 22% of small businesses are owned by women.
I won’t sugarcoat it—there have been moments over the past five years when I considered calling it quits. It can be daunting to continuously invest in a business and see little financial return. Even now, as I write this, I’m still funding the majority of Luna Rose Collective myself. But my passion for crafting, creating, and helping others discover unique products keeps me going. More than that, I want to build a community of like-minded, open-minded individuals who appreciate the magick I bring to the table.
I certainly don’t plan on working corporate forever. My long-term goal is to make Luna Rose Collective my full-time career. And yes, my products are unique—but that’s intentional. They are an extension of my soul. After all, what’s the point of creating if it doesn’t resonate deeply? You’re also hearing from someone who has memories of being burned at the stake in a past life. Persevering through challenges seems to be part of my soul’s path, and I intend to see this vision through.
The Future of Luna Rose Collective
I envision Luna Rose Collective evolving into a full-fledged brick-and-mortar shop—an enchanting space where community thrives, events flourish, and sales flow abundantly. Imagine dried flowers and herbs hanging from the ceiling, the scent of incense in the air, and workshops filled with creativity. Think Practical Magic meets The Craft. That’s the dream, and while it may take years to get there, I know it will be worth it.
Spiritual awakenings have shaped much of my adult life and the choices that I have made. I have my spirit guides to thank for that—but we’ll save those stories for a future blog post. Stay tuned.
What’s Next in 2025
This year will be the biggest for Luna Rose Collective yet. We’ve signed up for more events than ever before, and our booth display has been upgraded to reflect our growth. Every dollar spent in preparation has been an investment in the future, and I hope more and more people fall in love with Luna Rose Collective and what we stand for.
At most of our events, you’ll find:
-
Full Moon Black Protection Salt
-
Antique Décor
-
Intuitive Paintings
-
Ritual Candles
-
Mystery Bags
What makes LRC truly unique is the fusion of past and present. We don’t just resell vintage and antique treasures—we craft our own products during New and Full Moon phases, infusing them with lunar energy. Not many businesses can say that. The Moon has been a source of inspiration since the dawn of time, a powerful force to work with. Once you understand how to align with its cycles, it can bring incredible transformation.
A Heartfelt Thank You
Whether you’ve been supporting Luna Rose Collective for years or just discovered us today, thank you. Every like, share, purchase, and kind word means the world to me.
A special thank you to the volunteers who have helped with past and upcoming events—you rock!
