The Creatrix’s Call: Balancing Life, Business & Magick 🔮

Hello, all!

Brittany here, Head Creatrix of Luna Rose Collective. Today, I want to pull back the veil and share the winding, witchy road that shaped who I am — and how I came to walk this path in this lifetime.

My Humble Beginning

As a child, I always felt misunderstood, misread, and out of sync with the world around me. I really noticed this in catholic school. The amount of children that attended the one I went to, wasn't nearly as many kids who went to the surrounding public schools. From the ages of 3 to 11, I faced a nightly haunting after I was tucked into bed. The story that seems to resonate most with others is how I overcame that haunting before I even reached high school.

Hauntings, I’ve come to believe, are far more common especially with children. Why? Because the world hasn’t yet dulled their senses and their perception remains open to all the hidden layers of existence. I also believe that some people are born with psychic sensitivities, and those gifts may awaken even more over time. Whether you believe it or not, everyone has the ability to tap into this unseen world.

For me, being haunted made me feel confused and isolated. I knew I wasn’t just an “average” kid among other kids. If you had known me then, you’d remember my deep love for the moon, for all things spooky (I am a Halloween-season baby, after all), and for the shadows others overlooked. My parents didn’t take me too seriously at first when I spoke about my “imaginary friend” — one who, let’s just say, wasn’t so imaginary.

One of the scariest encounters still lingers vividly in my memory:

One night, around age 6 or 7, I was jolted awake by an incredibly loud snoring sound. We had no pets, no visiting family, and my parents were fast asleep. I padded quietly to their room, only to find both of them silent and still. The snoring grew louder, and as I crept back to my own room, my heart hammered in my chest. That’s when I realized — the snoring was coming from under my bed. I watched, frozen, as the bedskirt puffed outward with each heavy exhale. I screamed for my parents. That night, their skepticism faded fast as they saw how shaken I was. Even before this incident, they remembered me whispering warnings like, “Shhh! She can hear you!”

I learned early that the unseen surrounds the living — whether we’re aware or not. For eight long years, this entity had its grip on me. Eventually, with my parents’s support, I found the strength to push back. One day, fed up, I sat at my vanity, looked myself in the mirror, and declared aloud: “You don’t belong here. Be gone — back to where you came from. I will not tolerate this any longer!” Something shifted. And while I didn’t realize it at the time, when I closed the door on that entity, I also unknowingly shut down my own psychic senses… at least for a while.

The Journey

If I’m being honest, I feel like I’ve lived many lifetimes within this one life. Creativity has always been at my core — from thriving in childhood art classes to immersing myself in dance. Fun tidbit: I eventually studied Dance Performance at County College of Morris and later at Montclair State University, graduating in 2013.

But about a year later, I experienced my first major spiritual awakening — a wildfire realization that set my soul on a new path. Suddenly, I was pulled toward the paranormal more than ever: I joined a local paranormal investigation team, dove into psychic development classes, bought my first tarot deck, and more. It felt like the veil had been lifted from my eyes, revealing the world in a completely new light. Around this time, I also developed an extremely deep fascination with roses — a sign, I now know, from an ancestral guide nudging me to remember my witchy past lives and reclaim my spiritual gifts (more on that in a separate post).

Fast forward a bit, and I co-founded a paranormal team with close friends and experienced some of the most intense paranormal phenomena of my life. Even before this chapter, I knew I carried psychic abilities, especially clairaudience — the gift of hearing what others cannot. Leave me in a haunted space long enough, and I swear the walls will start whispering their decade or centuries-old secrets!

Eventually, this journey inspired me to launch Luna Rose Collective — a small business dedicated to sharing my witchy creations with others. My first product? Full Moon Black Protection Salt, crafted initially for my own use on paranormal investigations or for spiritual protections in general. I still have some of that original 2019 batch today. This could be for the living and the dead or non-living. It's especially great against negativity from the living- both for yourself, or to protect from others. Don't worry, I will make a whole blog post dedicated to just this product and others.

The Now

As I sit here writing this, I can confirm I’ve gone through more than a few spiritual awakenings — two major ones and several smaller “blips in the matrix.” The universe  and my spirit guides have been generous teachers, and I’m grateful for every lesson. At 35, I feel more aligned and evolved than ever, and I’m clear on what truly matters: work/life balance, spending my days with those who understand me and who are ready to evolve with me. Trust me, a lot of relationships I had have fell off post spiritual awakenings but I know now more than ever, not every soul you come into contact with you are meant to stay connected to forever...

Well, that's a wrap on this post about my journey. Life is one big wild ride but as long as you go with the flow vs against it, you'll see the magick the universe has to offer and then some!

Thank you for being here, for reading this, and for being part of this journey. 🌹✨ Stay tuned for the next blog post drop to happen next month! If you have any questions for me, leave a comment down below.
